Forget the forecast and pretend it's supposed to be a perfectly lovely day.

What will you do?  And more importantly, how will you cope with the inevitable FOOD ORGY that such holidays bring???

It's gonna be tough.  We are doing a surprise 80th birthday bash for my Dad, with lots of people, lots of food, etc.

I am on my two-week liquid diet before surgery, so I plan to just stay far, far away from the banquet tables.  Hopefully that will work.  And a bottle of water close at hand!!

My guy and I are taking our youngest and heading to the cabin!  Tons of swimming to be done and fun to be had.  We should have plenty of protein to choose from, plus I will bring my own stuff along!

The road we have the cabin on is a great one for getting my walk in, so that should work too!  A little rain never stops us, we still have fun.

Have a safe and Happy 4th to everyone!

We were supposed to be having a BBQ at the beach and spending all day outside swimming and what not, but now I'm thinking I might take the wee one to see Toy Story 3 and then go and if the weather isn't tooo terrible then we are going to the park to play in the rain and the puddles!

We'll be grilling, most likely fish for me, pork chops for everyone else.  I'm making potato salad with fat free mayo, and all fresh ingredients from the farmer's martket.  I'm making a watermelon shark
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2453/3613513621_c5bfffd153.jpg, and we will be relaxing outside while the kids go in the pool.

The best thing though, is NO WORK!!!

IF it rains, we'll do some family game time inside!!

We are starting our 4th tomorrow!   We're heading to the lake for camping.   Lots of sun and water we hope.  My whole family will be there so if it rains we'll have lots of people to play games etc......bringing a book too.  I am bringing mostly WLS friendly foods for hubby and I.   Lots of protein...boiled eggs, cheese,...burgers.....fresh picked strawberries...yummy!!
